How Long Does It Take to Install a Home Water Softener?

Our installation took about 2 hours, maybe a little longer. I wasn’t watching the clock because I was upstairs working while they handled everything in the basement. It was really nice to keep going on with my day while they did their installation.

The team showed up on time, got to work, and let me know when they were finished. They tested the system, walked me through how it works, and made sure I knew how to add salt when needed.

That said, every install is different. The timeline depends on your home’s plumbing setup, where the system is being installed, and whether any adjustments need to be made. What Is Maintenance Like for the Culligan Water Softener?

This is one of the best parts: Culligan water softeners are extremely low maintenance.

The main thing you need to do is keep the salt tank filled. That’s it. The system does the rest.

I use the Culligan Connect app, which sends me alerts when the salt is running low. It also tracks the system’s performance and can alert me if there’s ever an issue. Honestly, I don’t have to think about it at all.

As if it weren’t easy enough, you can also set up salt delivery. No more driving to the store and hauling heavy bags home. The salt comes directly to your house.
